The Montcalm Area Reading Council (MARC) recently honored Martha  “Jane” Anderson Beach in recognition of her many years of dedicated service to the organization during a surprise presentation.

Beach began volunteering as a MARC learning coach in 2009 and joined the organization’s Board of Directors in 2010. Over the years, she generously shared her time, compassion, and leadership to support adult learners throughout Montcalm County. She recently concluded her service on the Board of Directors, making the occasion an opportunity to celebrate her lasting contributions to MARC.

During the gathering, MARC Executive Director Amanda Lee presented Beach with a commemorative plaque recognizing her years of service as both a learning coach and board member.

“Jane has been an incredible advocate for adult literacy and for the people we serve,” said Lee. “MARC is just one of the countless organizations throughout our community that have benefited from Jane’s generosity and willingness to give back. Montcalm County is fortunate to have a gem like Jane. Her kindness, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our organization. We are incredibly grateful for all she has given to MARC over the years.”
